FAQ about Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine-

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture is a surprisingly painless treatment. You might feel a slight prick as the needle goes through the skin, and there is a needle sensation which can be described as heaviness or tingling. But once the needles are inserted it's entirely up to you to decide how much sensation you feel. We strive make you comfortable at all times!

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on the nature of your condition. For acute symptoms, treatment time is shorter, and vice versa. Chinese medicine & acupuncture can be extremely effective in short term management of symptoms, but we also highly recommend a long term approach to managing any underlying causes to your current symptoms. In this way we ensure long term, sustained relief from your ailments.
Usually we recommend an initial course of 4-5 treatments in quick succession. This ensures you keep getting better before your symptoms can get worse again. At this stage we reassess and can more accurately provide you with an updated prognosis and treatment plan to suit your condition and future needs.
